Adult Grief - The healing process takes courage. Throughout life, we will face all types of grief. With the right tools we can learn how to move forward with our grief.
Men & Grief - Many men have been conditioned by society to keep their feelings hidden. The fact that, after a loss, it is more likely that a community will acknowledge a woman’s loss than a man’s reinforces the sense that they should keep their emotions inside.
Children & Teen Grief - Children tend to be more affected by a loss than we acknowledge. Have the hard conversations and check in often. Questions and answers will often change as they grow, so be prepared to meet them where they are.
Death of a Child - From the moment a person learns that they will be a parent, they begin to imagine a future for their child. When a child dies, that beautiful world that was created solely for that child is shattered, leaving the parent broken, disoriented, and struggling to cling to any piece of the world that could have been with that child in it.
Infant Loss - Our hearts go out to parents at this most difficult time in their lives. We recognize the death of your baby as the human tragedy that it is. We have many items specifically made for you.
Holidays - It is natural for holidays and special occasions can be triggering for those who are grieving. Make a plan, communicate your needs, and honor the feelings of the others around you who are grieving as well.
Hospice - Whether you are in hospice, or caregiving for someone who is, it can be scary and draining to be so close to dying.
Cancer - All of our lives have been affected by cancer. Whether it is a parent, sibling, child, friend, teacher, neighbor, or ourselves, we all know someone who has survived, or died from, cancer. You are not alone.
Suicide - If you know someone who is severely depressed or experiencing deep pain, do not be afraid to ask if they are having thoughts about suicide. By taking the time to ask, you show that person that you care about them and take their pain seriously. It also gives the person a chance to share their pain with you, and to realize that they are not alone. You can find contact info for crisis lines and other resources here.
Pet Loss - Many people include their pets as members of their families. The lost of one that is so trusted and unconditional in their love is hard.
Spiritual - “Where was God when my loved one died?” “What was God thinking when the floods came and we lost everything we had?” It is neither unusual nor inappropriate for any of us to ask such questions during times of deep grief.
Spanish - We have had a number of our products translated into Spanish as well.
