Following the tragedy that took place a couple weeks ago, an outpouring of Tear Soup was sent to the Newtown Community. We started to receive phone calls and emails from people all across the U.S. wanted to share Tear Soup with those in Newtown. As of today, we have taken orders from Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Texas, Florida, New York, Maine, and more. In total, we have shipped more than 500 copies of Tear Soup so far, with a plan to send more than 200 in the next week.
The majority of calls have been from people who received Tear Soup from a friend or family member following the death of a loved one, and the age of donors has ranged from Kindergarten classes to great-grandparents, to a 12-year-old girl who wanted to fundraise to send 100 books and exceeded her goal.
