Chuck DeKlyen

Executive Director and resident ‘Nice Man’, Chuck is the one who makes Grief Watch run.  If you have a question about one of our products, or about the history of Grief Watch, he will have an answer.  Chuck is the co-author of our best seller Tear Soup, a recipe for healing after loss, which was written with his mother, Pat Schwiebert.  

Chuck currently lives with his wife of 30 years and two goofy dogs. He loves fishing with his son, BBQs with the family in his backyard, and spending as much time as possible as a proud grandpa.

Codi Lindsey

Codi does a little bit of everything at Grief Watch. From processing and shipping orders, to managing the website and our accounts on Etsy and Amazon, she stays busy. Some of her favorite jobs include taking and editing photos and creating fliers. 

Codi has twins that are grown up and out of the house. She loves spending quiet time and playing games with her friends. Some of her favorite things include going to concerts and eating ice cream. She always loves a good story. Often those come as an engaging book or movie, but her favorite thing is listening to others share a story from their lives.

Pat Schwiebert

Pat is proud to be the founder and heart of Grief Watch. With five decades of experience working with grieving individuals and groups, Pat has created and supported many grief groups. She also actively gives her time to supporting the unhoused and protesting wars and injustices that take place around the world. 

Pat is the author of many books, including Tear Soup, a recipe for healing after loss, We Were Gonna Have a Baby...But Had An Angel Instead, When Hello Means Goodbye. Her creativity has given shape to many of our other products, including our beloved ceramics.

Pat has now retired and plans to spend the next era of life enjoying her ever-growing family.

Contracted Helpers

With such a small company, we often pay part time contract workers to help us produce enough products to meet demands. These helpers have filled various roles including producing ceramics, sewing bags and Comfees, and bagging and stringing hearts.

Volunteers

Over the years we have had many volunteers help us to assemble products to keep costs as low as we can for individuals experiencing a loss. Many of these volunteers were residents of the Peace House or have been members of support groups that Pat has facilitated. All of their time and energy has been greatly appreciated.
